For the last 18 months, Creative Lenses have been working with 8 cultural centres and theatre companies that were experiencing some of the most common challenges within the arts and culture sector across Europe. From funding cuts to flawed leadership.
The stories of business model transformation are now being shared as case study examples to assist other arts and cultural managers.
Creative Lenses is a four-year project (2015-2019) that has sought to make arts and cultural organisations more resilient and sustainable by improving their business models and developing their long-term strategic and innovation capacities.
Creative Lenses Final Conference – “Culture and Business Models in Challenging Times” – will be held at the Cable Factory in Helsinki, 24-25 April 2019. This is a two-day event that explores how arts and cultural organisations can adapt to changing environments and become more sustainable by rethinking their business models. It brings together leading cultural practitioners, funders, policymakers and researchers to speculate on organisational sustainability, business model change and cultural value within the sector.
